The BUA 2024 conference highlights the revival of classical and traditional architecture. We are at a turning point in architectural history where education and political support of the roots of our built environment needs revitalization.

After a century of modernist repression of beauty and humanity, the knowledge and skills of classical planning and beautiful building are almost absent in our education system. BUA 2024 aims at filling these gaps with first class lectures from leading speakers on classical and traditional architecture, pre-modern urban design, craftsmanship, restoration and preservation of beautiful buildings.

The conference welcomes the general public as well as professionals such as architects, planners, urbanists, engineers, historians, researchers and others.

This year we have four main topics: architectural ornaments, classical architecture, non-modernist urbanism and traditional architecture.

The aspects of beauty and ugliness will shine through each of these session, directly or indirectly. The program for BUA 2024 distinguishes from last year in several respects: For the first time we present the new generation of classical architecture students - presenting their first projects under the supervision of Branko Mitrovic. Secondly, we have included real craftsmen and craftswomen - that crafts the ornaments in the traditional buildings.

Third, we have successfully extended the number of famous researchers and architects, significantly by including some of the worlds most famous traditional architects and scientists that advocates for traditional and classical architecture - like Nikos Salingaros, Nir Haim Buras, Notre Dame school of architecture, Robert Patzschke, James Stevens Curl and Brandon Ro. Fourth, BUA 2024 are so fortunate to present two of the most famous activists promoting traditional and classical architecture Michael Diamant - one of the founding members of the Swedish Architecture Uprising and Justin Shubow - the president National Civic Art Society, USA.
